White Wolf vrs Sony: the Underworld conflict

Bryant is doing a bang-up job of tracking the White Wolf versus Sony court case in which my sometimes freelance employers suggest that the Sony film Underworld bears more than a passing similarity to their World of Darkness IP. His latest entries are here and here and are worth checking out.

Have you noticed that there seems to be no articles in any Newspapers or magazines about the legal battle? I know its not exactly huge news, but I would have thought that at least one paper would have used it as a filler story.

The worst thing is, I'd send in some articles to various papers, but it'd be a conflict of interest. Damn.

These sort of cases happen all the time. WW are small enough fry that I doubt any newspaper will find it significant. If WW win, well then the papers might be interested.
