Good observation, but this could be better phrased.

It comes across as: "Ignore the potential for human death and suffering unfolding before us, look at the citizen journalism."

I see where you're coming from, but in the context of the blog (which is all about the new techniques of journalism), I'm sure people could figure out that that's not where I was coming from.
