Well, they did /try/ with the video.
But as I watched I was wondering why the statements were complete gibberish - I was expecting it to become a test as to whether people actually /listen/ and /comprehend/ when watching video, or whether they just switch off.
I wouldn't say that they were complete gibberish, but there are certainly a couple of places where the sentence structure on the first trip doesn't work very well. And the reason becomes clear on the way back.
