You should... As soon as this rainy spell has cleared up www.filthyfrance.com will be filthy once again... Which might not necessarily be a good thing.
It's so easy to post from the photo app as I'm walking through Toulouse I can document as much shit on the pavements as I can handle..

@mike - Well Jeff Jarvis did in his post. Ot at least he intimated it.
I'm not sure that not following over 800 people on Twitter is something she can be criticised for. And she does appear to respond to those people she follows.
However, as she is a jobbing reporter on the social media scene you could be forgiven for assuming she had her own blog and/or she was a far more active user of social media then she appears to be.
At the very least, why isn't she a face on this blog?

I've looked at http://twitxr.com/ for this, but am I right in thinking you need a 'jailbroken' phone to be able to blog pictures?
- On 'After Max Gogarty: Rethinking Mainstream Media Blogging':
Interestingly - Max's post was one of three sample blog posts I pasted as plain text on plain paper, no dates or sources and handed out to a very experienced social media team and some journalists yesterday as part of a training session. They had no problem with the piece. Thought it might sit well in a Livejournal page, 'friend's blog' or an email home to friends. They didn't find it very interesting, but they all thought he was a very good writer. In fact they didn't quite believe he was just 19. However, there was noticeable cringing when I revealed where the piece actually appeared.
- On 'When Mainstream Media Blogging Goes Bad':
Deary dear... It's not a joke, The Guardian are just about intelligent enough to be able to make a funny joke. I think this more about the tabloidisation of that paper and about the tablodisation of the British middles classes, IMHO :)
- On 'How I Use Feed Subscriptions: Part 1':
You're far more organised than me Adam. I've experimented with a lot of readers over the years. I currently use Vienna for work feeds and NetNewsWire for friends and more hobby like stuff. But, I'm not completely happy with my set up, I was starting to look at buying a feedreader, I didn't realise NNW had gone free - that's the full version I presume? Anyway, have downloaded and will look at it. Thanks for heads up.
One thing I've noticed in recent months is how I think I rely far more upon my core network of vaguely work blog/social bookmark friends to feed me stuff from blogs I no longer subscribe to. Second, how much more useful keyword and tag feeds are over pure blog and newspaper rss feeds. I find I'm getting more targeted, relevant, niche information from these feeds than I am from general blogs.
The only downfall is that there is a bit of repetition within the feeds with some articles syndicated/copied across various publishers. If I could filter out the copies, this would further my current feed reading.

Thanks for that. Still grinning. Why do I pay my subs? Tell me?
