Crowdfunded blog platform Typed announces its forthcoming demise

Typed, the crowdfunded blog platform I wrote about way back when, is dying:

For the last 8+ months, Typed.com has been running at a loss. I’ve tried hard to make Typed.com viable, it’s a great platform and I still believe in it. However, at the end of the day, it comes down to cost. I can’t run Typed.com indefinitely at a loss. No one can run a business at a loss.

The founder announces that export functionality will be made available within the next week or so — or rather, he did back in April when this was announced.

And the functionality still hasn’t been released, nearly three months on.

Can you guess why Typed failed?
