I have to be careful talking about the mess that the National Health Service is in right now, because people I know well are involved in it, and I don't want to cause them problems. (This is also the reason I don't blog about the office, just so the person who has been searching for the words Peter, Bill, Jane, Roberts, Amber, Jason and so on knows.)
However, The health service is in a terrible, stinking mess for some very stupid reasons, marooning the care and patient support staff in some horrible positions. So, I'll let someone else do the talking, in this case Brian Micklethwaite at Samizdata.
