Technorati turned 3 today, and has celebrated with a brand new look. It's a useful site for tracking what's going on in the blogosphere, but it has some frustrating quirks. For example, one of the things that drove my chance of URL a little while back was its insistence that the http://www.onemanandhisblog.com site hadn't been updated for months - clearly not true. The same thing seems to be happening to Brian's blog.
Still, I won't object if anyone adds me to their Technorati favorites by clicking here…

Changing the URL of a blog really seems to kill Technorati. I'm currently experiencing something similiar and where pinging also seems not to work anymore. So sometimes the "Updated" date is after a certain postdate, but that post is not indexed :-(

Try it now - both of your blogs should be indexed just fine...
Sorry about the problem!

Ah-ha! Much better.
Many thanks, and happy birthday!

I too was starting to have the non-indexing problem with two of my three blogs. I sent email to the tech support folks, and within mere hours they had it fixed. And had apologized for how long it took(!). So while the system has its growing pains, I've gotta love a company with such dedicated folks working for it (thanks Janice!).

I did e-mail tech support about it some months ago - and never got a reply. It's good that things have improved in the meantime.
